1932 Gregorio Bosacoma officially created the KIN Products brand and began his adventure in the world of cosmetics.
1935 The first KIN liquid colour was manufactured in a reusable glass container, at the premises of the Plaza del Mercado de Sant Feliu de Guíxols
1941 The brand was registered and prepared for the international market-place.
1942 It was taken over by his son, Consuelo Mestres, aged only 19, along with his mother, following Gregorio Bosacoma’s premature death.
1950 It now started to move beyond colours and started developing treatments. Sedinor, a leading conditioner for hair care.
1958 Launch of the Cream colouring brand, inspired by the technical benefits for hair professionals.
1966 The brand’s activity entered the professional realm with the opening of the first factory and laboratories at calle Huguet de Sant Feliu de Guíxols.
1967 The 3rd generation of the Bosacoma family began to join the company. Leonci represents a significant advance in commercial terms.
1979 Creation of Kinactif. The professional treatment range for hair care.
1983 Josep Mª Bosacoma (3rd generation) joined KIN Cosmetics, marking a significant turnaround for the brand in R & D terms.
1986 A brand pioneer in the Spanish market with the introduction of new colouring techniques KIN launched its 1st ammonia-free permanent colour New Color Glamour.
1987 The business moved to a new factory in Santa Cristina to accommodate its growing business.
1995 KIN Cosmetics’ current facilities were launched and became the headquarters of the brand worldwide.
1996 Entry of Joan Mª Bosacoma, 4th generation of KIN, who brought the brand to the international market.
2000 Expansion of KIN Cosmetics to Mexico, France, Venezuela, Israel, Colombia, Portugal, Belgium...
2003 Jordi Bosacoma (4th generation) graphic designer, adapted the brand’s image to the new trends in the sector.
2009 KIN Cosmetics overhauls its corporate image, with the launch of its first exclusive men’s range, KINMEN.
2010 Metropoli. The brand’s first step-by-step fashion and hairdressing collection, which is also presented at the International Hairdressing Awards.
2011 Overhaul and expansion of KIN Cosmetics’ central facilities, now spanning 10,000 meters with new areas and manufacturing equipment.
2013 Creation of KINESSENCES, the brand’s new “does not contain” philosophy”.
2015 KINESSENCES Color: The new coloration without ammonia and with philosophy "sin". A breakthrough in terms of results and effectiveness.
2016 KINESSENCES Detox: The kinessences treatment family grows with the industry's most innovative antioxidant hair treatment.
